Central Academy is a proud member of United Learning, a unique group of independent and state schools committed to providing excellent education, ensuring all students progress, achieve and go on to succeed in life. As a school we work collaboratively to achieve their “best in everyone” ethos.

This ethos perfectly aligns with our three character virtues of ; Respect, Ambition and Resilience. These three character virtues were chosen by staff, students and parents & carers as a community.

Central Academy Virtues

At Central Academy, alongside successful outcomes, we strongly believe in a well-rounded and holistic education that develops students character and allows them to flourish and develop as an individual. Our character virtues are a very important part of everything we do and are taught explicitly through our education with character programme. These virtues are part of our Central Academy way of life and are consistently used as part of everyday language. The character virtues tie in directly with our rewards system. At Central Academy our whole community are completely invested in our mission, vision and character virtues all of which align with the ethos and culture set by United Learning. 

These character virtues underpin everything we do and are clear to see on a day-to-day basis. Every policy, procedure, interview and system have these three character virtues at the centre. We expect all our staff demonstrate and use them on a daily basis and encourage our students and their families to do the same.
