Here at Central Academy, we are committed to providing an outstanding learning experience through our broad and balanced curriculum. The crew, along with a panel of local professionals employed in our area, delivered a fantastic 1 hour interactive session to all our students in each year group 7-10. The session was aimed at inspiring our young people and raising awareness about the opportunities available to them, on their doorstep! The tour is back on the road after a few years and they are visiting over 110,000 students in the UK. Central Academy was the first stop for the crew this week in Carlisle. A huge thank you to the BBC bitesize tour crew and presenter Kim Boak (BBC Bitesize) for hosting some amazing sessions as well as Cara Martin (NHS Foundation), Toby Bewley (BBC radio Cumbria) and Nicole Paterson (Greggs) for joining us, sharing some great information about their roles and stories as well as answering lots of questions! A huge thank you to Ms. Whyte for her hard work organising this event, who reflected on the event, saying, โ€œIt was great to see our students listening to the inspiring stories of the local host and professionals, engaging in the sessions - inspiring their future choices, raising ambitions and realising the potential they have, right here in our local area with local employers.โ€ All our students had a great day and we wish the BBC Bitesize Team the best of luck with the rest of their tour! #CareersAtCentral #MyFutureMe #BitesizeTour #BBCBitesize
