A Warm Welcome to Central Academy

🧑‍🌾 𝓢𝓾𝓼𝓪𝓷’𝓼 𝓕𝓪𝓻𝓶 𝓿𝓲𝓼𝓲𝓽 🧑‍🌾 𝐸𝓍𝓅𝓁𝑜𝓇𝑒 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝐸𝓃𝑔𝒶𝑔𝑒 𝑔𝓇𝑜𝓊𝓅 Another brilliant couple of weeks at Susan's Farm CIO with our Explore and Engage group! We’ve been making the most of the sunshine while keeping up with farm tasks like packaging eggs, as well as getting hands-on in the kitchen making apple crumble and learning where our food comes from. This week, the group also visited Aglionby, where they took part in pond dipping and explored the surrounding woodlands. Pupils showed curiosity and enthusiasm as they searched for and collected natural items such as bones, skeletons, and feathers. Back in the woodland, they worked together to identify and classify their findings, learning more about different habitats and the wildlife that lives there. The group has continued to grow in confidence, build positive relationships, and demonstrate great teamwork each week! #Ambition #Resilience #Respect

🔴 ℝ𝕖𝕕 ℕ𝕠𝕤𝕖 𝔻𝕒𝕪 𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟞 🔴 Today we held our annual ℝ𝕖𝕕 ℕ𝕠𝕤𝕖 𝔻𝕒𝕪 fundraiser here at the academy. A fantastic day with lots of great activities throughout the day! Together we raised an absolutely whopping £7⃣6⃣5⃣.5⃣5⃣! An absolute amazing effort from our whole school community! ❤️ A big shout out to our event winners from the day; Karaoke 🎤 - Teagan F Yr. 11 Top Bins ⚽ - Josh A Yr. 7 Guess the sweet - Ben G Yr. 10 We would also like to say a huge thank you to Mr Hurst, Mr Waugh, Mr Heap and Mr Tobin who volunteered for our every popular sponge the teacher event! 🧽 As well as a very big shout out to Mrs Nelson for her hard work organising and running the events through the day, alongside her wonderful assistant Mr Whitfield! ❤️ #CentralToOurCommunity #Charity #Ambition #Resilience Respect

⚽️ 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟳 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 ⚽️ Vs. William Howard A big shout out to our Year 7 footballers who visited William Howard for two fixtures on Monday. There were some great performances from the 20 students who took to the field. Game one was a tight game throughout with a great goal from Zak M for Central in a 2-1 win for William Howard. Central battled hard in game two but William Howard again took the win. Well done to all of the players who have played this year with final games coming up Vs Morton and the City Tournament next week to look forward to. ⚽️ Keep it going lads!
