🔴♻️ 𝓔𝓬𝓸 𝓡𝓮𝓭𝓼 𝓵𝓪𝓾𝓷𝓬𝓱 ♻️🔴 🏤 𝑀𝒶𝓃𝒸𝒽𝑒𝓈𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝓂𝓊𝓈𝑒𝓊𝓂 𝓋𝒾𝓈𝒾𝓉 🏤 A fantastic visit to Manchester Museum today for the launch of the Manchester United Foundation Eco Reds programme for 2025/26. 5 student ambassadors from our Sustianable Central team were selected to represent the Foundation. The day consisted of hearing all about our planet and the natural world. With some excellent workshops exploring sustainability and a chance to explore the brilliant museum! Our students also had the chance to hear from United Women's first team keeper and marine biologist Phallon Tullis-Joyce ⚽ Well done guys and thank you to the Manchester United Foundation for lots of great takeaways we can use to support our sustainable drive here at the academy!⚡ #EcoReds #Sustainability #FutureLeaders #Ambition #Resilience #Respect

🌏 𝗔-𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗴𝗲𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 🌏 🎓 𝘕𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘢 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 🎓 On Friday, A group of our A-Level geographers travelled to Newcastle with Mrs Hepburn to learn about university life and geography in higher education at Northumbria University. Students had a campus tour, a lunch experience and attended geography workshops with other students in the afternoon. Despite the freezing temperatures we had an interesting day which will certainly help inform students' decisions when they begin to make choices in the next couple of years. 🎓 𝓐𝓵𝓾𝓶𝓷𝓲 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓶𝓸𝓷𝓽𝓱 🎓 𝗞𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲- Central class of 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟵 Each month we hope to be able to share some of our wonderful ex-students with our Central Community, celebrating their successes! Our alumni of the month for November is 𝗞𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲. Since leaving Central Academy, she pursued her interest in Art, English Language and Sociology in 6th form, which has led her to be Trainee Solicitor, specialising in Criminal defence after completing her Law degree at Leeds Beckett University. Kelsey currently works in the Magistrate’s Court, where she meets with clients and advises them on their next steps. She also gets the opportunity to work in the Police Station, where she handles all administrative work – Kelsey is an incredible help to society! Unfortunately, Kelsey has met some hard challenges throughout her years of education, balancing the struggles of lockdown one and two in her 6th form years, and later again during university. Despite these hardships, she has showed great resilience, finished her 6th form year and juggled a business, running her own Sports Bar in town while getting her degree. She truly embodies the definition of ambition and shows, despite adversity, if you are resilient, you will succeed. Kelsey reflects on her time at Central, remembering how enjoyable History was due to her lovely teacher Mrs Barnsley, who motivated her consistently and made History her favourite subject. She also loved art, so much so that she continued the subject on into her A-levels. Kelsey is also strong-willed, visible in the extensive work she put into her GCSE’s, where she would arrive at school at 7am to revise English, and would not leave till 5pm!
