🧑‍🌾 𝓢𝓾𝓼𝓪𝓷’𝓼 𝓕𝓪𝓻𝓶 𝓿𝓲𝓼𝓲𝓽 🧑‍🌾 𝐸𝓍𝓅𝓁𝑜𝓇𝑒 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝐸𝓃𝑔𝒶𝑔𝑒 𝑔𝓇𝑜𝓊𝓅 We had another fantastic session at Susan's Farm CIO this week with our Explore and Engage group this week! This week the group explored the woodlands around the farm, taking time to observe the natural environment and enjoy the fresh air. Students also took on one of the farm’s important daily tasks — feeding the sheep. The group got fully involved, showing great responsibility and enthusiasm as they helped care for the animals and learned more about farm life. Later in the session, the group worked together to build a campfire in the woodland area. Pupils toasted marshmallows and enjoyed making their own s’mores around the fire. The group also spent time playing games together, helping to build positive relationships and teamwork. It was another great session finished with a hot chocolate, with pupils showing great engagement, cooperation, and a willingness to get stuck into every activity. 👹 𝓚𝓢2 𝓟𝓻𝓲𝓶𝓪𝓻𝔂 𝓟𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓷𝓮𝓻𝓼 👹 🐉 𝒟𝓇𝒶𝑔𝑜𝓃’𝓈 𝒟𝑒𝓃 𝒢𝓇𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝐹𝒾𝓃𝒶𝓁 🐉 This afternoon, we hosted our second ever Manchester United Foundation/RRCA Dragons Den Grand final in our Manchester United HUB. 12 teams from our four partner primary’s in Houghton C of E School, Pennine Way Primary School, Norman Street Primary School and Newtown Primary School presented to our panel of dragons, Mrs Nelson, Miss Sewell and Mrs Sheridan, in a bid to be crowned the overall winners after qualifying from their in school finals over the last few weeks. In the end, ‘𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀’ representing Houghton came away the winners after an unbelievably close final. Any one of the teams could have walked away the winners after showing exemplary business acumen.
