🍃 𝕊𝕦𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕚𝕟𝕒𝕓𝕝𝕖 ℂ𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕣𝕒𝕝 🍃 𝒞𝓊𝓂𝒷𝓇𝒾𝒶’𝓈 𝒞𝓁𝒾𝓂𝒶𝓉𝑒 𝒜𝓈𝓈𝑒𝓂𝒷𝓁𝓎 Sustainable Central were delighted to welcome two members of Cumbria’s Climate Assembly recently. Lauren and Katie explained their voluntary role to the students emphasising how important it is that there is somebody speaking up loudly for the environment in Cumbria. One of their goals is to capture the voice of young people and find engaging ways for them to share their ideas. After a short presentation students discussed their main concerns and suggested their top priorities. It was also a great opportunity to reflect on what students currently learn about the environment and sustainability. The results will be shared with the Assembly and used to help them develop their responses to major questions about Cumbria’s future. The students engaged so positively and demonstrated how passionate they are about their city and county. 🦌🎄𝚁𝚎𝚒𝚗𝚍𝚎𝚎𝚛'𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚁𝚎𝚜𝚙𝚎𝚌𝚝 𝚍𝚊𝚢 🦌🎄 🤝 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘋𝘢𝘺 18𝘵𝘩 𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 2025 🤝 A reminder; we will be hosing our 𝚁𝚎𝚒𝚗𝚍𝚎𝚎𝚛'𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚁𝚎𝚜𝚙𝚎𝚌𝚝 𝚍𝚊𝚢 next Thursday, 18th December 2025 here at Central, with our character virtue of respect at the heart of the day! During the day we will be hosing lots of events and and activities in support of Jigsaw, Cumbria's Children's Hospice. Events on the day will include; 🏃 Sponsored Reindeer Run, 🦌 Reindeer themed fun crafting activities – all gifts being given to Jigsaw, 🍰 Cake sale, 🎄 Christmas jumpers!
