A Warm Welcome to Central Academy

🏫 𝕐𝕖𝕒𝕣 𝟞 𝕋𝕣𝕒𝕟𝕤𝕚𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 🏫 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁 We warmly welcome parents of current year 6 students who will be joining the Central Academy family in September 2026 to join our live transition broadcast with Mr Markham. 📆 Thursday 23rd April 2026 ⏱️ 6pm- 7pm 📍 Online During the evening, Mr Markham will share key information for parents around transition to Central, there will then be a Q&A session for any questions around the transition process. Parents can join the broadcast via the pop-up link on the academy website (this link will go live at 5:45pm on Thursday). 😇💛 𝓟𝓻𝓸𝓾𝓭 𝓕𝓻𝓲𝓭𝓪𝔂 😇💛 A first Proud Friday of the Summer term and a fantastic one at that! 🏫 𝗦𝗶𝘅𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 🏫 𝙼𝚄 𝙿𝚘𝚜𝚝-𝟷𝟼 𝙿𝚊𝚝𝚑𝚠𝚊𝚢 𝙿𝚛𝚘𝚐𝚛𝚊𝚖𝚖𝚎 This week, we caught up with our pathway team who got together to finalise their term 3 delivery projects. As part of the 12 month programme, students have been working hard on gaining additional qualifications and attending professional development workshops, alongside their studies. They'll each now step outside their comfort zone, test themselves and deliver impactful work in our school and community before submitting their final report and findings in July. Mrs Nelson said, "We're really proud of our post 16 Pathway Programme in partnership with the Manchester United Foundation. Giving students the opportunity to refine skills, gain work relevant qualifications and stand out from their peers, has been valuable. With many students exploring higher education and employment after year 13; projects like this can play a vital role in shaping their future, building confidence and opening doors to meaningful opportunities beyond education."
