A big well done to our Year 9 mixed team who attended the county cricket tournament at Edenside on Thursday. Our team took 2 wins from 3 games, a huge feat for a new and developing team, with a lot of the squad playing some of their first games! Cricket is definitely growing at Central and itโ€™s amazing to see! A huge shout out to Mr Barratt for his hard work in growing the sport across the academy and our students for their growing dedication to representing the academy! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ #SportAtCentral #Cricket #Ambition #Resilience #Respect

We had a brilliant few days out in the lakes with lots of activities including abseiling, raft building, cave walks and jetty jumping (or pushing when Mr Skelton and Mr Armstrong are involved). All of this alongside team building activities, getting to grips with our natural environment, lots of food, Mrs Nelsonโ€™s famous karaoke and an England win on the big screen! It was absolutely wonderful to see our students pushing their limits and going well outside of their comfort zones! We could not be more proud! ๐Ÿ’™ We have LOTS of great pictures and videos we will share over the coming days! ๐Ÿ“ธ #Residential #Ambition #Resilience #Respect

This day was a celebration for our brilliant students after they successfully completed The Scholars Programme. The Scholars Programme is an academic enrichment scheme run by the UK charity The Brilliant Club. It works with PhD researchers who deliver university-style tutorials to pupils aged 8 to 18 in order to help students build the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to access top-tier universities. After each writing a 1500 word essay applying various literary theories to a range of texts, our Year 7 scholars have taken a huge first step to becoming the next generation of university students. Congratulations to our wonderful scholars! #GrammarStream #ScholarsProgramme #Ambition #Resilience #Respect

As part of their project, the Anti Bullying Ambassadors introduced themselves to Julie Minns MP, before delivering a presentation, giving her an insight into what their training included, initiatives they have delivered and are planning to deliver since completing their training. Julie had some wonderful questions for them, including their thoughts on the social media ban, which led to an interesting debate. The students questioned Julie on important topics including young and disabled people's rights and her priorities for Carlisle. A huge thank you to Julie for her time and a massive shout out to our ambassadors who were absolutely fantastic and professional throughout. #AntiBullying #Ambition #Resilience #Respect
I like the school because there is no bullying and the teachers help you when you are stuck with your work Year 7 Student
