A Warm Welcome to Central Academy

👩‍🏫 ℍ𝕖𝕝𝕖𝕟 𝕊𝕙𝕒𝕣𝕞𝕒𝕟 𝕆𝔹𝔼 𝕧𝕚𝕤𝕚𝕥 👩‍🏫 On Thursday, we were lucky enough to welcome Helen Sharman OBE, outreach officer for Imperial College London into the academy to deliver talks to some of our year 10s, 11s and 12s. Helen, a British chemist and cosmonaut was the first woman to visit the Mir Space Station in May 1991. Helen delivered motivational and aspirational talks about careers in STEM, applying to university and her time in space. The students listened attentively as they were captivated by all she had to her say and her wealth of knowledge and experience. 😇💛 𝓟𝓻𝓸𝓾𝓭 𝓕𝓻𝓲𝓭𝓪𝔂 😇💛 We had another fabulous 𝒫𝓇𝑜𝓊𝒹 𝐹𝓇𝒾𝒹𝒶𝓎 this week, with lots more great work on show! 📖 A huge well done to each of our students who again take so much pride in the fantastic work they complete in their lessons! 💛 As with every 𝒫𝓇𝑜𝓊𝒹 𝐹𝓇𝒾𝒹𝒶𝓎, every student received a prize, a proud stamp on their work, a sticker and 5 positive points on Arbor! 🙌🏼 If you didn’t get the chance to show off the work you are proud of, don’t forget to head down to the proud table every Friday lunchtime! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 #ProudFridays #SuccessAtCentral #Ambition #Resilience #respect

🌼 𝕾𝖕𝖗𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖎𝖓𝖙𝖔 𝖘𝖈𝖍𝖔𝖔𝖑 🌼 💯 𝔄𝔱𝔱𝔢𝔫𝔡𝔞𝔫𝔠𝔢 ℭ𝔥𝔞𝔩𝔩𝔢𝔫𝔤𝔢 💯 During Friday’s morning tutor time we drew week four of our 𝕾𝖕𝖗𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖎𝖓𝖙𝖔 𝖘𝖈𝖍𝖔𝖔𝖑 attendance challenge. We had an amazing 6⃣8⃣6⃣ students in this weeks draw, all of whom managed to achieve 100% attendance and no lates to school this week. Our live draw winner for this week was 𝓐𝓵𝓮𝔁𝓪𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻 𝓑 (7BSH) who won a £Nando'so's gift card! A huge well done to our tutor group challenge winners; 7ACO- Best attendance (for the second week!), 9ANE- Most improved weekly attendance.
