We asked students last term what clubs they would like to have and we have responded to their requests wherever possible. 🧑‍🌾 𝓢𝓾𝓼𝓪𝓷’𝓼 𝓕𝓪𝓻𝓶 𝓿𝓲𝓼𝓲𝓽 🧑‍🌾 A great start to the spring term with our new group at Susan's Farm CIO! Our Susan’s Farm alternative provision offers pupils the opportunity to learn and develop skills in a nurturing outdoor environment. Through hands-on experiences with animals, nature, and practical farm tasks, students build confidence, teamwork, and engagement with learning in a different setting. During our first Explore and Engage session, pupils were introduced to the daily life of the farm and learned about seasonal farm cycles. A special highlight was meeting Peggy, the first lamb of the year, who quickly became a firm favourite with the group. Students then got hands-on with farm life, spending time with the chickens and helping with important farm tasks including collecting, washing, and preparing egg orders ready for the local community. We continued with a walk around the fields, where pupils explored the wider farm environment where they met the cows, and fully embraced the outdoors — muddy puddles included! The group showed fantastic teamwork, curiosity, and enthusiasm throughout the session. A brilliant first visit and a positive start to the term. #Ambition #Resilience #Respect

🥫 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 🥫 Following our 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗕𝗟𝗘 Foodbank 2026 appeal we were delighted to welcome Brenda, the manager of Carlisle Foodbank into the Academy, along with colleagues from Lloyd Motor Group to collect our amazing 2⃣5⃣9⃣ bags of donated food, toiletries and household products. Once again Central Academy staff, students and families have come together to show what an amazing school we are and proud supporters of our local community and a charity at the heart of our city.
